Agnes Gibboney Denounces Newsome other California Legislators: Supports Merced Co. Sheriff

September 7, 2019

California SB54 the state's sanctuary law has again come under fire again by New California State Senator and San Bernardino County Chair Agnes Gibboney who went on Fox News "Fox & Friends" to denounce California Governor Gavin Newsome and show support for Merced County Sheriff  Van Warnke.

On Wednesday, two Merced County Sheriff’s deputies went to Dol Palos to serve a warrant in a domestic violence case involving a man named Guadalupe Lopez-Herrera. Lopez-Herrera has a history of domestic violence and had pleaded no contest to a charge in January.

When Lopez-Herrera failed to show up for court in August, an arrest warrant was issued. When the two deputies approached his house, Lopez-Herrera opened fire and (allegedly) hit one of the deputies in the chest and the leg. Fortunately, he was wearing a vest and will recover from the wound to his leg. In the chaos, Lopez-Herrera escaped and remained on the run for nearly 24-hours.

Authorities searched the area but weren’t able to locate him until police spotted the truck he had stolen Thursday morning. That resulted in a high-speed chase and more shots fired at police:

In addition to domestic violence, Lopez-Herrera’s rap sheet includes felony assault and assault with a deadly weapon. Here’s a local news report which shows Sheriff Warnke’s statement as well as a bit of the chase that led to Lopez-Herrera’s capture.

Agnes Gibboney is an angel mom whose 29-year-old son was murdered by an illegal alien back in April 2002. Ronald da Silva was standing with a friend in his driveway when he was shot and killed by Luis Humberto Gonzalez, for no apparent reason.

Agnes Gibboney is now the New California State Senator from San Bernardino County and serves as the County Chair. Agnes is proactively involved in illegal immigration issues at the national / state level and has visited with President Trump in the White House on numerous occasions. She will be Washington DC in late September to advocate for changes in immigration laws.
