2nd Constitutional Convention for New California State


The 2nd New California State Convention will be October 5-6, 2018 in Irvine California. Come join the delegates of the New California State movement as they come together for the second time to construct the New California State Constitution.

The State of New California declared independence from the state of California January 15, 2018. New California State is the first state to declare independence from a pre-existing state since West Virginia declared its independence from Virginia in 1861. New California State will be the 4th state to be formed using Article IV, Section 3 of the U.S. Constitution.

On March 21, 2018 New California State convened their 1st Constitutional Convention where the framework for the government including a bicameral legislature, executive and judicial branches were formed. The day ended with the legislature passing three resolutions.

The first resolution was to support the January 15, 2018 Declaration of Independence. The second resolution was to support the preamble of the New California State Constitution. The third resolution was to insert the following into the preamble: “do acknowledge and humbly invoke the favor of Almighty God for continued civil and religious liberty to ourselves and our posterity,”
