The sun was beating down, worship music ringing and shofars blowing in the air at the State Capitol in Sacramento, California on Tuesday afternoon. Whether in the sun or standing in the shade the crowd was peaceful and enjoying good conversation together while awaiting the main event. A sea of Stop AB 495 signs and patriotic gear stood out in the large crowd. Governor Newsom and his cronies in the capitol had to be quaking in their fancy suits and shoes, as We the people showed up to tell legislators how we feel about this ridiculous and unconstitutional bill being pushed on the parents and children of the state of California.
Lobbying is the focus of the day. Caregiver, affidavits, parental rights and stranger danger were the Buzz words. Pastor Jack Hibbs began clarifying statements he has made to the media: he is not leaving California and he did say that if this bill passes, take your children and run. He encouraged the crowd to remember that we are a republican form of government and that it is the job of the elected officials to listen to and represent you, not to promote their own passions and desires. Yesterday the Appropriations committee heard the bill AB495, placing it in a suspense file for now. However, the bill can be moved from Appropriations to the Senate for a vote. We must continue to fight against this bill.

Senator Shannon Grove from District 12 stood tall against AB 495 saying Jesus wept and is weeping for children who are being trafficked and parents who don’t have the authority to protect their own children. The language in this bill is vague, a self-certified affidavit could give right to someone “claiming “ to be a caregiver the ability to take children without parental consent. Grove states, that AB495 could be released on September 29. Podcaster, Heidi St. John enthusiastically spoke to the crowd asking “How many of you are willing to take a stand and never sit down again?” “The Democratic party is on notice; we will not take this anymore!” “Find your voice again!” “Don’t let your voice be drowned out by those who would do your children harm!” Her words were very moving and inspirational. Assemblyman James Gallagher from District 3 spoke passionately, “make no mistake, we are fighting tyranny here in California and this government is ignoring their own rules.”

The excitement, passion and adrenalin were flowing through the hot crowd. Clearly, people care about AB495. I couldn’t help but wonder, why they have not stood up before this mention. If they are just waking up to the tyranny that has been overwhelming this state for years, will they go home and sit down again? I encourage them to Stand UP! Don’t leave!! Stand your ground every single day and consider looking to a movement, who is throwing off the tyrannical government of California and following the Constitution Article 4, section 3 to make a new state. Point your energy and passion toward a constitutional answer for California’s problems.
Stand up with a movement that is making a difference, every day. newcaliforniastate.com.
