Will the New California State and the Jefferson State movements join forces?

Recent communication suggests that maybe the case. The memo is from Mike Thomas of El Dorado County.

Hi Jeffersonians, Last weekend I attended the New California State 6th Constitutional Convention in San Luis Obispo at the famous Madonna Inn. New California State (NCS) is a different movement to separate from California and form a new State. They want less government and better representation, just like the State of Jefferson (SOJ). I was the only one from our EDC Jefferson committee that attended. This message is from me, not as a committee member, but as a fellow Jeffersonian patriot. I am not advocating one of these movements over the other, but want you to know we are not alone in our quest for a Republican form of government.

At the NCS convention, the key note speakers were: 1. Mike Huckabee, host of the TV show “Huckabee” on TBN, Fox News contributor and 44th Governor of Arkansas. 2. KrisAnn Hall, one of the most sought after national speakers as a Constitutional Attorney averaging over 250 events in 22 States every year for 5 years straight. 3. Agnes Gibboney, an Angel Mom who is currently running for California’s 31st Congressional District. 4. Chriss Street, an International Economist for over 40 years and Vice President of New California. 5. Paul Preston host of Agenda 21 Radio which is listed in “The 50 Most Influential and Most Listened-to Streaming Talk Show Hosts,” with 1.6 million Internet Listener sessions, and Co-Founder and President of New California.

In addition to these great speakers there were two students from Stanford University that talked about their political roles on campus and two 15 year old high school students that talked about being conservative in a California public school. I was very impressed with the attendance. There were more than 500 people from more than 50 California Counties.

I have been with SOJ for over 5 years. The SOJ movement has been tied up with the Citizens for Fair Representation (CFR) court case for almost 3 years. The CFR is expecting a decision from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals within the next 30 days, which will determine CFR’s next move. Let’s pray for good results.

NCS is aiming to separate the rural Counties (and the rural parts of urban Counties) from the urban Counties. SOJ and NCS have different pathways to Statehood, but what if they worked together? They both want less government with Counties that have equal representation. NCS, with 18 million people, would be free from the tyranny of the socialist in the urban Counties. This new Free State could then be a pathway for SOJ. From Benjamin Franklin to Abraham Lincoln these words have meaning: “United We Stand, Divided We Fall.”

If you would like to meet Paul Preston and hear more, he will be in Placerville at the Breakroom Restaurant on Saturday, March 14th. People will be gathering for a no host dinner at 5 PM followed by a meeting from 6 – 8:30. Please see flyer attached.

REMINDER: Don’t miss our next meeting with Judge Steve Bailey. He has a wealth of knowledge about the election process in California. Tuesday’s meeting (March 10th) is at the American Legion Hall, 4561 Greenstone Road, in Placerville. Doors open at 5:30 pm, for social hour, when you can also enjoy our Jefferson Hot Dogs, chips, desserts and beverages. The meeting starts at 6:30. After a few announcements, Judge Bailey will be introduced and ready to field questions from the audience.

See you there! Mike
